I first encountered the sublime beauty of the Haba region in the publication Dameishanhe: Hutiaoxia (大美山河: 虎跳峡). The title translates as “Gorgeous Mountain River: Tiger Leaping Gorge”. The large, coffee-table format presents beautiful photos of Tiger Leaping Gorge, Haba Snow Mountain and the alpine lakes. It was published 2009, in Chinese and English. ISBN 978-7-5416-3412-3.
